Chateau Mondain, Bordeaux
Chateau Mondain, Bordeaux
A beautifully brilliant wine with deep purple tints, displaying a classical elegance and freshness on the palate that cannot fail to please. The front-of-palate is full and rounded, with a fine but not excessive tannic base wrapped in creamy extract and accompanied by a seductive aftertaste of red fruits. A wine which displays all the breeding and distinction typical of its origins.
Drinking nicely now, but will continue to improve for several years after vintage.
Tasting Notes: The fruit of a legendary Bordeaux vintage, this wine is a beautiful garnet hue, displaying an elegant, many-layered bouquet of red berries with a hint of spice. The palate is chewy and mouthfillingly ample. Polished, silky tannins impart fine length. A very fine Bordeaux. Serve at room temperature with a side of beef, a leg of lamb, or simply with friends as a special aperitif.
Serving Suggestion: Goes well with all types of meat, a good complement to pasta dishes, try with tapas and medium-cured cheese
